| My Story |
|
I have a background in Counseling Psychology. For almost 12 years during the late 80's to early 90's I owned and directed a Group Practice and Training Center. Managed care took its toll on us and we began to lose money. I then merged my business with a colleague's becoming the Clinical Director and VP of Operations. Within two years my position was downsized and I moved on. I jumped into the corporate world of Managed Behavioral Health Organizations thinking idealistically, as it turned out, that I might be able to make a difference. I held upper level executive positions in departments that were eventually downsized and moved from company to company twice within 3 years. My last position nearly killed me, literally. I have heart arrhythmia and the high stress levels increased the symptoms. I decided that I had had enough of corporate America. I had to do something else! I wanted to have more control of my time and my life.
Shortly after I made my decision to change my life, a close friend of mine, who had survived a heart attack and had successfully reduced her cholesterol by using Rexall Showcase International (now known as Unicity Networkż) products, introduced me to the business. My parents had been involved with another network marketing company so I was a bit skeptical about network marketing. However, after doing extensive due diligence, I was convinced that this was exactly the kind of company I wanted to be involved with. I signed up as an Independent Business Owner (IBO) at the Director level.
The first thing I did was start taking Bios Life 2® and within 30 days my cholesterol dropped 30 points and I felt more energy than I had in the past six months! Because I was still employed full-time, I worked my Rexall/Unicity business on a part-time basis. When my employer discovered that I had an another interest, I was told to give it up. They didn't think, as an executive, that I should have a life outside of their company, period! My travel assignments and workload in general, then began to increase. You get the picture. It didn't take long for me to make a decision to resign. I walked away from corporate America never to return. And I couldn't be happier!
